Since the theme of this blog is “You don’t Know, what You don’t know”. Some or many of you may not know about the Bazaar of Horrocks. I call it a bazaar because they have Michigan products as well as products from around the world. Come with us as we explore all the wonders of Horrocks.

As you enter the Horrocks parking lot, it is a scramble to find a parking spot. There is an air of excitement as we make it out of our cars and into the store. Today as we walked to the front of the market it was loaded with the visual delights of fall. Mum’s as far as we could see, corn stalks, potted plans, and fall decorations. It feels festive as we enter the farm market.

Entering the store, can feel overwhelming. There are so many choices, so many things to see and purchase.  Oils and Vinegars, wines and cheeses. There is a deli with fresh cuts of meat, jerky, fresh Sushi made on site. Coffee, and foods from around the world, isles and isles of international delicacies.

Horrocks has the most beautiful flowers, entering the store, or the garden center. Inside they have amazing fresh cut flowers and arrangements in the florist area.

If you are looking for a great place to hang out, enjoy some good food, a little beer, and pick up a few items to take home. Then Horrocks Farm Market is the place for you.

The beer garden is located outside in the garden center area and there are also a couple of food trucks to choose from. Inside there is wine tasting and a gourmet coffee to sample.

The bakery area offers a fresh baked pizza area, delicious home made mini cheesecakes. Macaroons and giant cookies. Not to mention creamy gelato!

The candy shop is filled with by the pound candy, bulk candy, popcorn area and of course a Jelly Belly station! Anyone having a sweet tooth cannot go wrong with their selections of sweet goodies.

Horrocks Farm Market is a must to experience. They open up a world of gourmet delicacies. I will be honest it is so much more than even what I covered in pictures, and words. I suggest you check it out for yourself and find your must have new favorite treats.

Let’s talk! Skin Care Products for Mature Women! It’s hard to be a sex symbol at 52. Nothing is as easy as it once was. I used to hate the term “mature woman”, and now I love it. There are perks to being mature. For one, we should be able to afford our lives, which helps us buy more beauty products! Let’s talk Perimenopause! I am sick and tired of hearing about hot flashes; Perimenopause has a slew of other symptoms. As we get into perimenopause, our bodies change and enter a state of what feels like puberty. We have skin changes, due to hormonal fluctuations, which can be as upsetting as any of the other symptoms and as difficult to manage. At the onset of perimenopause, it wasn’t uncommon for me to get break outs and blemishes. Sometimes I would look in the mirror and see the little dipper on my face. Yes, I was influenced and tick-tok got me! I am almost out of the first tube and will be hitting up the tick-tock shop for the second tube. If you have not tried it, you MUST! I use it on my under eyes, eye lids and forehead, allowing it to sit as long as I can before applying makeup. It works for a good part of my day, and also gives confidence. Give this product a try if you have under eye issues and forehead lines!

Eating local: Alma Michigan Fit-Fuel Cafe. We had been wanting to try it since we noticed the Alma location. Thursday, we had a scheduled massage and needed a quick and healthy meal afterward. It is not often that small towns get healthy options that are also quick and convenient.   The entrance to Fit-Fuel Cafe is not on the main road, but instead on a side street. If you are not looking for it, it would be easy to miss. The nice thing is that there is plenty of parking around the cafe. The great thing is that it is in walking distance to Relaxations, where we got our massage.

Eating Local: Alma Michigan Fit-Fuel Cafe– Dinner for two

The sweet potato fries were crunchy and paired perfectly with the two sauces. The brownish colored sauce is called tropical sauce, which the owner makes himself, it is like a BBQ sauce minus the Q. The Highlander wrap also has the tropical sauce, with ham, turkey, cheese, lettuce, and tomato. We chose the tomato basil wrap that paired beautifully.

The next evening, we decided to stop back in, as the previous night we had talked to Gabriel, the owner’s son and learned that he might be able to solve my Pinterest issues. (I needed tech support) and split another Highlander wrap and tried out their smoothies. We sampled two kinds, the Raspberry Cheesecake and Chocolate peanut butter. Both were equally good, and the flavor was impressive. The other key benefit of Fit-Fuel Cafe smoothies is that you can add an enhancer, we chose Slim and Tone. But there are other enhancers such as Energizer for energy, or you can click the link for the full menu of smoothies and enhancers. It is a sweet healthy treat.

Overall, it was a great experience, and it didn’t hurt that it came with a little tech support from Gabriel Eilts, the owner of Ec Beta Solutions.  I got to make a great connection to help with my blogging issues, because who would have guessed that blogging could be difficult to do. Certainly not me, I now have an all-new respect for anyone that has a blog. And the other great part of our night, is that my smoothie was a sugar free healthy alternative to my chocolate peanut butter ice cream.
