Almost a year ago this November, we found the most AMAZING metaphysical shoppe! The Smudge Shoppe is spiritual boutique & botanica. Talking to one of the staff members that was so helpful and kind, they are the largest shoppe in Ontario. We did try and find other shops, but there just wasn’t much that could compete. My wife is a Rieke Practitioner, working towards her Master. We needed to take a trip, because she needed oils, I needed Lebanese food, and together we planned a wonderful day trip.

One of the best things about living in the middle of the mitten, is that just like it is only a couple hours up north, it is only a couple of hours to Canada. We chose this day, because of it being a holiday weekend. As almost everyone in Michigan heads UpNorth for the holiday weekend. We entered through Detroit and just took the tunnel over. The traffic wasn’t horrible; however, we didn’t know the tunnel was under construction and that we would be down to one lane. But overall, it only took about 30 minutes to get through. The first stop was to exchange currency. If you are planning to go to Canada, just know that American money pulls a pretty good exchange rate and your money goes further there. Then we headed to the Smudge shoppe.

Entering Smudge, it already feels like it will be a mystical experience. We do not believe we have ever been to a metaphysical shoppe that is so encompassing. Tracy my wife got some amazing oils for her Reike practice. We bought a little jewelry and some surprises for our grown kids. I would show you what we bought, but it would give it away. Just take the drive, over to Windsor and visit this amazing metaphysical shoppe. We know that you will be glad, and just as enamored as we are.

Welcome to the best Lebanese Restaurant experience you will ever have! From the friendly staff, beautiful decor and AMAZING food. We have never experienced warm, round, sweet pita or buttery smooth hummus anywhere like this before. And the Fattoush salad, let’s just say I am craving it right now! Sooooo good! I know this might sound crazy, but I believe in a previous life, I must have lived in the middle East, because I truly appreciate and love Lebanese food, and Iranian food. Now I may not fully agree with their cultural rules, but the food is AMAZING!
Windsor Ontario: Embark on a Metaphysical Day Adventure- My Middle Eastern Love
Let me tell you a little background, as to why I have a Middle Eastern Love. I was around 8-9 years of age when my mom, decided to go to college. We lived on the Central Michigan University Campus, in family housing. This is where I learned about diversity, before my world was insulated. I did not know people from other cultures, or of other colors. As new opportunities opened my world, I had a friend from Iran. Her mom would feed me their traditional food. And when we moved to Kalamazoo, I had friends from Iran, Pakistan, and Lebanon. They came to this country to build a better life, and they were very generous. I know it sounds crazy, but Middle Eastern foods connect me to my childhood, and I believe past lives.

I recommend taking the drive to Canada. When you have a country so close why not take the drive. Everything about it was worth the effort. And by all means, take plenty of cash. The US return is better in cash, than if you pay with your card. Windsor offers a ton of shopping and cultural experiences, there is truly something for everyone and it makes a fun day!
